Rescued Locust Bowl

$80.00

Rescued from turning into firewood, this lathe-turned Locust bowl was given a chance at a second life. Cut from a wind thrown Black Locust, it had begun to crack as it dried. Locust being an extremely hard wood is prone to this, but with a little epoxy in the crack it was given a second chance to be something else beside just another hunk of firewood.

Measuring 9” wide and just under 2” tall, it makes an excellent fruit platter.

This bowl is coated and sealed in a matrix of food safe finishes, such as beeswax and mineral oil. Please see the Food Safe Product Care page for care instructions.
