Rescued from turning into firewood, this lathe-turned Locust bowl was given a chance at a second life. Cut from a wind thrown Black Locust, it had begun to crack as it dried. Locust being an extremely hard wood is prone to this, but with a little epoxy in the crack it was given a second chance to be something else beside just another hunk of firewood.
Measuring 9” wide and just under 2” tall, it makes an excellent fruit platter.
